The Stonewall brief was a really enjoyable brief. I feel it is important to encourage young people to get involved with politics. We are very lucky to have a democratic society where people are encouraged to have their own opinions. In many societies voicing ones opinions under a government who doesn’t agree is punishable by death.
We took a less serious and more amusing approach to persuading people to vote. Our light hearted approach caused us to find a place in the top 12 entrees in the competition which made us feel proud and very happy with our work. I worked very well with Mike and Corinne on this project, as we have on other projects. Our concept allowed me to exploit my illustrative skills and I feel the images used in the final designs are strong. We were able to use our combination of varying talents to our groups advantage. This really helped us to efficiently achieve effective designs.
Having a great concept was very important in this project. The way we presented ours was very eye catching. Having placed each poster into a photograph of a bus stop we realised that the posters are very believable and the animation and plasticine model shots are something that we all feel is achievable and realistic in this type of campaign. We are all very happy with the campaign we produced and are proud of the body of work we achieved. The final campaign feels like something that could really be put into action.
